The Polymath
This newsletter is an attempt to deal with the arbitrary balkanization in academia. In reality, physics, chemistry, maths and all the different fields don’t exist separately in isolation from each other. In fact, all these fields derive meaning from within each other.
Some of the greatest people in history were polymaths. And they were polymaths not because they were great, rather, they were great because they were polymaths. Aristotle, one of the greatest scientists and philosophers, was a polymath and dealt in Economics, Physics, Politics along with a number of other things. Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of the United States was also the first to discover the principle of conservation of electric charge and was the one to coin the notation of a positive/negative charge.
American Physical Society in recognition of Franklin's achievements in physics.
In this newsletter, I will share and try to explain in a simple way, the basics and ideas from all the fundamental fields that include but are not limited to Computer Science, Economics, Cognitive Science and History.
